The Man Behind the Camera: A Photographer's Perspective

Thursday, November 12, 6 p.m. and Saturday, November 14, 11 a.m.
Join photographer Michael J. Cooney for an intimate look at Lewis Hine’s formative years in Oshkosh—his education, teaching career, and early discovery of the camera. Learn how Hine used photography to share the stories of ordinary people and inspire social change. Members of the Oshkosh Community Players will bring his legacy to life through dramatic readings from the writings of Lewis Hine and fellow photographer Margaret Bourke-White.
