Fair Housing

Under city, state and federal laws and regulations, residents of Oshkosh are entitled to equal access to housing.

Residents who feel they have been discriminated in housing matters because of their race, color, sex, national origin/ancestry, religion, disability/handicap, family/familial status, age, marital status, lawful source of income, sexual orientation or status as a victim of domestic abuse, sexual assault or stalking are protected under the City of Oshkosh Municipal Code Chapter 16, Wisconsin Open Housing Law and the Federal Fair Housing Act. Violations of these may be pursued through the court system or administrative agencies.

For additional information on housing discrimination or to file a complaint, contact the Planning Services Division at 920-236-5059 or email by clicking here.
