The Plan Commission, appointed by the City Council, consists of 9 members and 2 alternates, and provides input, direction and makes recommendations to the Council relative to land use matters and ongoing planning functions of the City.  The Commission meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month and reviews issues such as special plans and plan amendments, annexations, Zoning Ordinance amendments, official map changes, property acquisition and disposition, rezonings, conditional use permits and development plans, and land divisions.
